Meet Wendi and Simon
Welcome
Too many visitors have never tasted real Chinese home cooking (and no, Panda Express doesn't count!). Our apartment is spacious, and we mean it when we say: come over, relax and make yourself at home.
About me
Wendi volunteered as a teacher in Africa at 18 and did her master's in the UK. Simon was a dedicated solo traveller before we married. We're open, curious and love making friends wherever we go.
Languages
We speak English and Mandarin, and Wendi is learning Spanish.
Outside the kitchen
Wendi is learning Spanish to make her way back to South America. Simon once went to Universal Studios Osaka alone and had a great time.
Travel experience
Between us we've covered Europe, the Americas, Central, Southeast and East Asia, and Oceania. Wendi's highlights include Peru, Russia, Azerbaijan and Laos; together we've explored Australia, Italy, Japan and more.

A wonderful experience! The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming, always happy to accommodate your wishes and making you feel like old friends. The location is easy to find, and last but definitely not least, the dinner was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!

We had a truly wonderful experience at the local family home. The host was kind, welcoming, and an exceptional cook. As I had hoped, we were able to enjoy authentic dishes that are rarely found in restaurants. This gave us a deeper appreciation of Chinese culture and family traditions in China. The host prepared a variety of dishes with great passion and care, and the time and effort they devoted to their guests is something we deeply value and sincerely appreciate.
