Meet Lion’s Family

Hear Lion’s Family's story in their own words

Welcome

Step into our Futian loft and you'll feel like you've walked into a Southeast Asian jungle — lush plants everywhere, warm earthy tones, that slow tropical pace even though we're right in the city.

Dinner starts around our big connected kitchen-living table: I'll cook Cantonese seafood and claypot rice, my wife brings the bold Northeast Chinese stews, and between us we'll run you through everything from Hong Kong dim sum to Japanese ramen, Southeast Asian curry, even a proper ribeye.

After the meal? We clear the table, pull out a board game from our full wall of them, and the sugar gliders might come say hello from the sunroom.

Come hungry — you'll taste five regions before dessert, and every dietary need is covered.

About me

I'm Li, but call me Lion. I'm CTO and co-founder of a travel startup designing China itineraries for international visitors — basically I help people fall in love with this country.

My wife is from China's Northeast, I'm Cantonese, and our kitchen reflects that full-spectrum North-South mix.

Travel Experience

When I'm free, I'm usually go packing: I've travelled across Chile, Peru, Turkey, Germany, France, Spain, a dozen-plus European countries, Australia and New Zealand. Five continents down, Antarctica's the only one left.

Optional add-on activities

¥150 per activity, per group — not per person. Your first selected activity is complimentary when you book today; each additional activity is ¥150 per group.

Home cooking participation

Kitchen is ours to run — we don't recommend guests cook for the group — but we love co-creating: you're very welcome to step in, plate, garnish, tweak a recipe together, or learn a technique. Relax and watch, or roll up your sleeves — your call.

Signature dish

The North-South collision on one table — a sizzling Cantonese claypot or wok-fried seafood landing next to a bubbling Northeast stew. You don't pick a region here; you get the map.
